Alaska/Central Region Relationship Committee
is Moving Forward

The Alaska/Central Region Relationship Committee is meeting and exploring ways of connecting churches in Central Region with churches in Alaska. Members of the committee traveled to Alaska in October, 2003, to visit with church leaders in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Cordova and Kodiak.

The hopes and dreams of the committee and Alaska pastors include a pastor exchange program, youth ministry assistance, worship video exchanges, conference calls during clergy gatherings for prayer and encouragement, sister church relationships and development of more volunteer opportunities.

Rev. John Jeffers, pastor of First American Baptist Church in Anchorage, was in the Central Region during the Annual Gathering in October, 2003. Jeffers, an excellent musician, shared his talents at the Friday evening banquet and again at the ABW Ministries luncheon.
