Alaska
Mission Trip
Join members of First Baptist Church, Gardner, in a mission trip
to Kodiak, Alaska, June 9-21, 2012. The group will be helping
to build and upgrade the facilities at Camp Woody. Camp Woody
is run as an inter-denominational children's camp on Woody Island,
an uninhabited island near Kodiak. Workers spread Christ's love
through many activities such as painting, carpentry, craft preparations,
wood splitting, cooking, plumbing, cleaning and other activities.
In the evenings, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the island
as it never gets dark! The trip will also include a day touring
Anchorage. For more information, call 913-884-7228 or email FBC,
Gardner.
Nicaragua Mission Work
Trip Planned
Meridian Avenue Baptist Church, Wichita, is organizing a mission
trip to Nicaragua. The team will depart the U.S. on June 15, 2012,
and return on June 24. While in Nicaragua, they will be assisting
AMOS Health and Hope, the medical ministry that ABC missionaries
Drs. David and Laura Parajon serve. For more details about this
mission trip, contact Pastor Jim Zier (316-943-2397) or Les Pierce
(316-841-0400).
AMOS Excursions
AMOS Excursions are aimed to inspire newcomers through educational
and cultural tours while supporting the AMOS mission. Different
than a work team, its relaxing nature will allow the team members
to absorb the beauty of Nicaragua's culture, history and tropical
countryside. You'll also have the opportunity to experience AMOS'
work firsthand with locally trained health promoters in their
communities. For more details about AMOS and upcoming AMOS excursions,
